- To ensure the well-being and good administration of the Judicial Service and also to maintain a high state of efficiency.
- To attend to all public complaints and grievances relating to the delivery of Judicial Service in Ogun State.
- Appointing, assigning, promoting, supervising, fixing conditions of service and discipline of staff of the Judiciary.

Founding Principles
Ogun State, Judicial Service Commission has adopted the following Founding Principles, being the basic ideology that, together with the Core Values, inform the organisational culture of the Judicial Service Commission and guides the pursuit of its Vision:
Competent judicial service:
Ogun State, JSC will create and sustain an environment conducive for staffs of the Judicial Service to be highly trained, well equipped and adequately resourced for effectiveness and efficiency.
Performance culture:
Ogun State, JSC will encourage a culture of continuous implementation, monitoring and regular review of its plans and policies.
The Vision of the Judicial Service Commission:
To make the state Judicial Service more efficient and committed in service delivery in order to promote justice and increase access of people especially the indigent to justice
The Mission of the Commission:
To build and sustain a vibrant disciplined and committed workplace that is responsive to the interest of the people, in which access to justice would be guaranteed for all citizens.
