George Oguntade SAN  is the Principal Counsel at GMO LEGAL , a Commercial Law Firm with offices in Lagos State. The Hon. Justice George A Oguntade CFR, Retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria is the Consultant to the Firm.

George attended CMS Grammar School, Lagos [ GCE “O” Level] and Allhallows School, Dorset, England [GCE “A” Level] and the University of Southampton England where he obtained an LL.B Degree in Law in 1986. Called to the Nigerian Bar in May 1989 and obtained a Master Degree [LL.M] from the University of Lagos in 1998.

George has over 25 years cognate experience in Commercial Litigation and Corporate Law Practice having worked for a number of years with the leading Law Firms of Ayanlaja Adesanya & Co; and The Chambers of Chief FRA Williams SAN arguably the greatest Nigerian Advocate of all time.

George was appointed a Notary Public of Nigeria in 1996, and in recognition of his excellence and distinction was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in April 2010. He is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, American Bar Association, International Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators [UK].
